Cox - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 2, 1987 Funeral services for Mrs. Corrine U. Cox, 72, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tallulah First Baptist Church with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Cox died Sunday at Doctors Hospital in Shreveport following a short illness. She was a native of Sikes and a resident of Tallulah for the past 40 years. Mrs. Cox was a real estate broker, a homemaker and member of the Tallulah First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Dee O. Cox of Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dee Haden of Shreveport; Mrs. Vivian Scott and Mrs. Flo Fondren, both of Tallulah; her mother, Mrs. Florence Underwood of Shreveport; five brothers, Lee Underwood of Sikes, Clarence Underwood of Fort Worth, Tex., Billy K. Underwood of Jonesboro, Paul Underwood of Baton Rouge and Charles Underwood of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Willa Dean Mathioudus of New York City, Mrs. Vera Jean Gregory of Bossier City, and Mrs. Maxine Kidd of Longview, Tex.; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Calvin Adams, Cliff Adams, Charles Arneson, Carroll Regan, Charles Beene and Carneal Woodyear. Family members request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or Tallulah United Methodist Church.
