Cox - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, October 15, 1981 Services for Arlie W. Cox, 76, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Revs. Xxxxxx McLemore and Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Cox died Sunday in Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. He was a Peach, Texas, native and Madison Parish resident for many years, a farmer and school bus driver and member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Xxxx Cox, Clayton Cox and Gene Cox, all of Tallulah; two daughters, Mrs. Eva Dean Willis of Sidney, Neb., and Mrs. Mary Lucy Brown of Tallulah; five brothers, Dee O. Cox of Tallulah, Weldon Cox of Minden, Elmer Cox of Shreveport, John Cox of Baton Rouge and Edgar Cox of St. Charles, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Addie Merrill of Gillian and Mrs. Willie Maude Bradley of Transylvania; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Horace Russell, Bud Taylor, Saniford Parker, Winfred Parker, Billy Frith and Charlie Purvis.
