Cosse, 78, of 186 Leo, died at 2:15 p.m. Friday in Schumpert Hospital after a sudden illness. He had been a resident of Shreveport several years and was a retired restaurant operator from Tallulah, LA. Arrangements, incomplete late yesterday, are to be announced by First National Funeral Home. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, the Order of Ahepa, a member of the Masons and a member of El Karubah Shrine in Shreveport. He was a native of Mytilene, Greece. Survivors include a son, John Cosse, Monroe; a daughter, Mrs. Alex Booras, Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Mijalis, Shreveport, and Mrs. Mary Lenardos, Athens, Greece; a brother, Manuel Cosse, also of Athens, and five grandchildren. Obituary from the Shreveport Times, Feb. 14, 1971. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at St. George Greek Orthodox Church for James J. Cosse, 78, of 186 Leo St. Mr. Cosse died at 2:15 p.m. Friday at Schumpert Hospital following a sudden illness. The Rev. George Seder, priest of St. George, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dr. James Coss, Ernest Davis, Sam Booras, Gus Theo, James Stomas and Farry Stravolemos.
