All rights reserved. ************************************************ Wilson C. Copes - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, December 23, 2004 TALLULAH — Wilson C. Copes died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Madison Parish Hospital. He was 87. Born in Warden, La., and a resident of Madison Parish for 53 years, he was a retired foreman of the Federal Compress in Tallulah. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include two sons, Wilson E. “Sonny” Copes of Tallulah and Glen T. Copes of Rayville; two sisters, Hazel Myers of St. Joseph and Elsie Edwards of Warden; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were at 10 a.m. today at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Pallbearers were Jerry Wayne Patrick, William Patrick, Rickey Patrick, Dan Copes, Kevin Collins and Paul Fortenberry. Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons.
