Coltharp - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 17, 1920 William F. Coltharp, one of the leading businessmen of Tallulah, died at his residence here Thursday after a long illness. Mr. Coltharp was a native of Brookhaven, Miss., but came to Madison at an early age. He was a gentleman of splendid character and enjoyed to a high degree the confidence of the businessmen of this community. Ixxxx well be said of him that he measured up to the full requirements of good citizenship. For a number of years he has been the directing head of the Tallulah Hardware and Furniture Company. Mr. Coltharp was 57 years of age and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Coltharp, nee Downes, three brothers, A. S., Chas., and M. H. Coltharp. During his residence here Mr. Coltharp filled many offices of xxxx and honor. The funeral services were held in his residence, the interment being in the Tallulah Cemetery, Rev. X. C. Barr officiating.
