All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Billy Gene Collins - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 3, 1978 The funeral of Billy Gene Collins, of South Houston, Texas, was held in the chapel of Crothers Home of Tallulah. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Collins drowned Saturday in a swimming pool at a Vicksburg, Miss. Mr. Collins was a native of Tallulah but has resided in South Houston for the past six years. He was an Army veteran and served in Xxxxxxx. He was a member of the Parkview Baptist Church of Tallulah. Survivors include his widow Mrs. Reatha Collins of South Houston, Texas; one son, Richard Tracy Collins of Winnsboro; two daughters, Amber Renee Collins and Misty Lynn Collins, both of South Houston, Texas; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William M. Collins of Tallulah; three brothers, W. T. Collins, Sr. of Bossier City, Jerry D. Collins of Monroe, and William McCurry of Huntsville, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sue Vallentine of Tallulah and Mrs. Doris Martin of West Monroe; and a grandmother, Mrs. C. L. Wood of Delhi.
