All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Lela May Coleman - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 16, 1969 Services Held Tuesday For Mrs. Coleman Funeral services for Mrs. Lela May Coleman, 70, who died in a Vicksburg hospital Monday after a long illness, were held Tuesday at 3 p. m. Services were conducted at the Tallulah Methodist Church with the Revs. Clark Bell and Jack Ely officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery under, the direction of Old Southern Mortuary. Mrs. Coleman has been a resident of Tallulah for forty-four years, a member of the Methodist Church and a charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Louise Hughes of Memphis, Tenn.; one grandson, Richard Hughes, Jr., and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bob Graves, R. G. Waugh, Charles Weeks, Barton Sevier, Bud M. Malone, J. K. Post. Honorary pallbearer: were Dr. H. S. Provine, staff of the Vicksburg hospital and the men's class at the Methodist Church.
