All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Robert Ray Cogdell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 15, 1964 Services Held Tuesday For Robert Cogdell Funeral services for Robert Ray Cogdell, 90, who died at his home Sunday afternoon after a long illness, were held Tuesday morning in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a. m. Rev. Bobby Brown and Rev. Oster Daniels of Vicksburg officiated. Burial followed in the Garden of Memories under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Cogdell was formerly a member of the Tallulah Police Department and prior to his retirement was employed with the Chicago Mill and Lumber Company. A native of Copiah County, Miss., he had lived in Madison Parish for the past 40 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ethel Cogdell, Tallulah; one son, Shelby R. Cogdell, Tampa, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Watts and Miss Bernice Cogdell, both of Tallulah; two stepsons, B. F. Smith, Tampa, Texas and James R. Smith, Tallulah; one step-daughter, Mrs. D. F. Wilburn, Delhi; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jack Allen, Jimmy Rogan, Cliff Erwin, Wilson Copes, T. B. Bradley, and T. M. Watts.
