All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ethel Moore Cogdell - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, August 28, 1975 Ethel Moore Cogdell, 91, of Tallulah, died Tuesday morning at the Madison Parish Hospital. She was a native of -------, Miss. Mrs. Cogdell was a resident of Madison Parish for 75 years and had lived in Tallulah since 1941. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and had resided at Delta Haven Nursing home for several years. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Crothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are W. E. Copes, Joe Williamson, T. M. Watts Jr., Merle Gustafson, B. B. Harmon and Tommy Dunning. She is survived by three sons, Bennie F. Smith, Dallas, Tex., James Robert Smith of Tallulah, and Shelby R. Cogdell, Pampa, Texas.; three daughters, Mrs. D. F. Wilburn, Delhi, Mrs. Claudean Watts and Mrs. Bernice Cogdell, both of Tallulah; one brother, Robert F. Moore, Shreveport; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
