All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ William Emmett Clark, Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, November 2, 1978 The funeral of William Emmett Clark, Sr., 66, of Tallulah was held in the Tallulah Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Crawford Williams and Henry Poole officiating. Burial was in the Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Clark died at his residence Saturday after an apparent heart attack. He was native of Bolton, Miss., a resident of Madison Parish for 65 years, a farmer and a deacon of the Presbyterian Church. He was a Louisiana Tech graduate. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clark of Tallulah; a son William E. Clark Jr. of Xxxxx, two daughters, Lyn Clark and Nel Clark, both of Tallulah; two brothers, Joe Milton Clark of Tallulah, Charles Clifton Clark Jr. of Marshall, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Andrew Yerger of Mound; and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were George M. Batchelor, W. B. Williams, Virgil Neumann, C. M. Dalhauser, Edgar Lancaster Jr., J. K. Post Jr., R. A. Holstead and Sidney Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were the Elders and Deacons of the Tallulah Presbyterian Church, Madison Parish farmers, Fred M. Miller, B. U. Miller and James Wade. The family requests that all planned memorials be made to Tallulah Academy Choral Department or Tallulah Presbyterian Church.
