Chapman - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Monroe News-Star June 4, 1934 TALLULAH, La., June 4. — (Special) — Funeral services for S. L. Chapman, 34, who died Saturday in a Vicksburg sanitarium, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist church of Tallulah, with Rev. L. A. Materne, pastor, and Rev. C. K. Smith, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in the Silver Cross cemetery. Mr. Chapman had lived here for the past 15 years. He was employed by the state highway commission as a traffic officer. Surviving are the widow and four brothers and five sisters.
