All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Joseph Payton Cason - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 7, 1955 Joseph Cason Laid To Rest Tuesday Afternoon Joseph Payton Cason, 69, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Erwin, Monday after a long illness. He had resided in Madison Parish for seven years, coming here from Waterproof, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. The Funeral was held Tuesday at 2:00 at the Willow Bayou Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Williams officiating, Burial in the Silver Cross Cemetery followed under direction of Crothers Funeral Survivors include his wife, Mrs. xxxx Cason; three sons, Garland, Floyd, of Natchez, Miss.; J. P., Waterproof; one daughter, Mrs. Roy Erwin of Tallulah; six grandchildren; four brothers, William of St. Francisville; Curry, of New XXXX, La.; Clifton and Earl of xxxx La.; and a half-sister of Baytown Texas.
