Carter - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 26, 1953 Funeral For Quebec Man Held Monday Funeral services for Hubert D. Carter, 55, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church with Rev. R. M. Bentley officiating. Interment followed in the Silver Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mr. Carter, who was born in Panola County, Mississippi and lived in Madison Parish since 1918, died this morning at his home in Quebec nine miles west of here. He was formerly employed by the Louisiana Highway Department. Mr. Carter, whose body lay in state church for one hour before the services is survived by three brothers, Jack, Davis and Bruce, Quebec; one sister, Miss Carter, Quebec; two nephews; W. S. Carter, Ruston and xxxx Carter of Monroe. Pallbearers were Wilbur Collins, xxxx Bennett, E. C. Woodyear, C. Wixon, Jr., Reece Lott and T. J. Lott.
