Cannon - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 5, 1998 Graveside services for Mrs. Essie P. Cannon, age 91, of Tallulah, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Mrs. Cannon died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, at her residence in Tallulah after a lengthy illness. She was born in Ripley, Tenn., and had lived in Madison Parish for 66 years. She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Cannon, and a son, Don Cannon. Survivors include one daughter, Dora Yerger of Tallulah; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements.
