Service For Former Resident Held Here On Monday

Funeral services for Clayton Calhoun, 58, retired service station operator, who died Sunday morning 
in Monroe after a lengthy illness were held here Monday afternoon. Services were held at 2 p. m. at 
the McGuire Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Wineinger officiating. Burial followed in the Silver 
Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.

Mr. Calhoun was a native of Vaiden, Miss., and lived in Tallulah before moving to West Monroe 12 years 
ago. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mr. Calhoun is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Calhoun, 1109 Audubon, West Monroe; a daughter, 
Miss Patricia Calhoun, and one son Howard Calhoun both of West Monroe, and one sister, Mrs. Velma Sandberg, 
Miami, Fla.
