BYSON Ralph Rutherford Byson, 39. died at a Vicksburg hospital late Thursday night about 11:50 after a long illness. He had been in ill health for about three years. Byson was a native of Minnesotta (sic), having come to Madison parish about 12 years ago with his parents from St. Cloud in that state. Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. D. W. Poole officiating. Interment was the Silver Cross Cemetery with Clifton Erwin, Roy Erwin, Kirby Erwin, Dick Howard, Edgar Lott and Alton McCready acting as pall-bearers. Williams Funeral Home had charge. Mr. Byson is survived by his father, K. E. Byson, his step-mother, Mrs. Josephine Byson of Tallulah, and a brother, O. L. Byson, of Ruston, and a son, Robert M. Byson.
