He was stricken here a short time before and was taken to Monroe for treatment. Mr. Byson is the son of K. E. Byson who came to Madison parish several years ago and settled with his wife and two sons in the Blue Front area. He later sold out his interest at Blue Front, as his sons became grown, and bought a small place east of Tallulah. The sons branched out for themselves, and soon after one of them passed away. Later the other, Oscar, became in ill health, and went west, stating that the altitude was too high for him in the west. He again entered business here, but just recently decided to move again on account of his health. Funeral services were held at the Tallulah Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, with the Rev. John F. Kilpatrick officiating. Interment was in the Silver Cross Cemetery here, with the following as pallbearers: N. R. (Dick) Howard, Kirby Erwin, Roy Erwin, A. J. McCready, and Cliff Erwin. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Roy Byson, a son, Buddie Louis, and his father, K. E. Byson.
