All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Bertie Butler - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, December 4, 1980 Services for Mrs. Bertie Butler, 70, were Nov. 26 in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Johnston officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Butler died Tuesday in Madison Parish Hospital after a long illness. A native of Yell County, Ark., Mrs. Butler had been a resident of Tallulah for the past 37 years and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Don Butler and Gene Butler, both of Tallulah: three brothers, J.W. "Buck" Reeves of Tallulah, Luther "Jack" Reeves of Monroe and Alec Reeves of Doniphan, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Townsend of Tallulah and Mrs. Bertha Benefield of Tuscon, Ariz.; four grandchildren ; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Zeigler, Howard Zeigler, Shelby Holmes, Ted Orjias and Bubba Panquin.
