All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Charles Phillip "Pop" Burchfield - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, April 30, 1986 Services for Charles Phillip "Pop" Burchfield, 78, were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with the Rev. O.W. Hogan officiating. Graveside services and burial were at Greenville City Cemetery in Greenville, Miss. under the direction of the funeral home. He died Wednesday at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a long illness. Mr. Burchfield was a native of Ethel, Miss. and a resident of Tallulah for the past 20 years. He was also a retired automobile mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Vida D. Burchfield of Tallulah; six sons, Charles P. Burchfield Jr. of Casper, Wyoming, Quenton Burchfield, Hugh Burchfield, both of Bastrop, Edward Earl Burchfield of Ruston, Raymond Paul Burchfield of Seoul, Korea and Michael Wayne Burchfield of Plano, Texas; eight daughters, Nancy Louise Ingram of Yazoo City, Miss., Mary Ann Webb of Yontis, Texas, Sherry Moffett, Penny Scurria, Judy Sanders, all of Tallulah, Phillis Wilkerson of New Burgh, Ind., Jo Kathy Gilbreath of Bossier City, and Teresa Blackmon of Crestview, Fla.; one brother, J.D. Burchfield of Indianola, Miss.; two sisters, Loretta Weeks of Jackson and Estelle Kimball of Greenville, Miss.; 32 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
