All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Sallie Ellis Buckner - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 18, 1987 Services for Mrs. Sallie Ellis Buckner were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tallulah Episcopal Church with Rev. Ed Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Buckner died Sunday at North Monroe Community Hospital in Monroe after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Buckner was a native of Mer Rouge and a resident of Tallulah for the past 62 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church. Survivors include three sons, Edward A. Buckner Jr. of Vicksburg, Louis Buckner and Billy Buckner, both of Tallulah; one brother, Ted Ellis of Mer Rouge; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
