All rights reserved. ************************************************ Louis Buckner - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post June 14, 2002 TALLULAH - Louis Buckner died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at Madison Parish Hospital. He was 75. Born in Tallulah, Mr. Buckner was a certified public accountant. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division from 1944 until 1946. He was a member of the American Legion Post 100 and of The Church At Tallulah. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Nadler Buckner of Tallulah; three sons, Louis Buckner Jr. of Tallulah, Nathan Ellis Buckner of Houston, Texas, and Harry Nadler Buckner of Plaquemine, La.; three daughters, Janie Buckner Fabre of Tallulah, Beth Buckner Shelton of Louisville, Texas, and Georgia Buckner of Dallas; two brothers, Edward Aylette Buckner of Vicksburg and William E. Buckner of Tallulah; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. Kent Fabre officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bucky Buckner, Billy Buckner, Josiah Fabre, Zadok Fabre, Simeon Fabre and Ben Buckner.
