Bryant - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 6, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. Monroe J. Bryant, 61 were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bernard Duchesne officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery under direction of Crothers. Mr. Bryant died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson. He was a native of Sims, Ark. and had lived in Tallulah for the past 49 years. Mr. Bryant was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include two sisters, Lucy Currey of Gurdon, Ark and Sadie Day of Delta; four brothers, Arthur L. Bryant, Selton F. Bryant and Evron E. Bryant, all of Tallulah and Austin L. Bryant of Dry Prong; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were N. W. Day, Leo Watson, Theo Watson, Issac Watson, James Matthews and Freddy Geddis.
