"Jake" Bryant Sr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal September 16, 1992 Funeral services for Mr. James H. "Jake" Bryant Sr., 75, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ramon Warren officiating. Burial will be in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mr. Bryant died Wednesday morning in the Madison Parish Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Little Rock, Ark and was a graduate of LSU. Mr. Bryant was a retired district director for the Farmers Home Administration, United States Department of Agriculture. He had lived in Tallulah for many years and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a member of American Legion Post No. 100 and a veteran of World War IL Survivors include his wife, Mrs. J. H. "Poodle" Bryant of Tallulah; one son, James H. "Jimmy" Bryant Jr. of Baton Rouge and one granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Rufus Yerger Jr., Robert Kivett, Warren Patrick, Phillip Scurria Sr., Tommy Bishop, Jeff Goza, Herbert Day and Salo Abrahm Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Odo Cagnolatti, Harry Don Morton, Jim Gilfoil, Edgar Lancaster and Henry C. Sevier Jr.
