All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ William Edgar Brown - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 5, 1971 Edgar Brown dies; rites held Monday William Edgar Brown, 78, of Tallulah, died Sunday at his residence following a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home here. The Rev. Crawford Williams officiated with burial in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Brown was a native of Tunica, Miss. and had resided in Madison Parish for 42 years, where he was a retired lumber inspector. He was a member of the Men's Bible Class of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Techia Brown of Tallulah; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Mae Clifton and Mrs. Helen Brodig, both of Los Angeles, Calif. and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were T. A. Bishop, M. O. Gunn. Charles Arneson, Curtis Goss, Clyde Clark and A. C. Anglin.
