Brown - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, September 27, 1984 Services for Robert E. Brown, 79, were at 2 p.m. Friday at Tallulah First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lawrence officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mr. Brown died Wednesday at his residence after a short illness. The Richland Parish native had lived in Tallulah for 53 years and was owner and operator of Brown Shoe Store. Mr. Brown was a former alderman and mayor pro tern of Tallulah. He was a member of Royal Arch Mason, Shriners and Madison Parish Hospital Service District. He was former president of Rotary Club and was a deacon at the First Baptist Church. Mr. Brown was active in Girl Scouts of America. Survivors include his wife, Frances L. Brown of Tallulah; three daughters, Beth Frazier of Raleigh, N.C., Janet Brown of Shreveport and Judith Brown of Tallulah; three grandchildren and one nephew. Pallbearers were Clay Crawford, A. L. Harvey, Cordes Williamson, Leland Walters, Donald Walker, Leander Grace, Otis Gunn and M. W. Washburn. Honorary pallbearers were deacons and trustees of the First Baptist Church, members of Madison Parish Hospital Service district and Tallulah Masonic Lodge.
