Brown - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post, April 5, 2007 WAVERLY, La. - Henry A. Brown died Monday, April 2, 2007, in Waverly, La. He was 75. Mr. Brown was a member of the Waverly Baptist Church and a member and chaplain of the American Legion Post No. 100 of Tallulah. He was a retired installer for BellSouth. He was an Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Mary Inez Brown; his parents, Homer Brown Sr. and Trueheart Leatherwood Brown; a granddaughter, Melody Stanley; and a great-granddaughter, Ashley Stanley. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Evans Brown of Waverly; two daughters, Rita Trahan and Pamela Hyer, both of Vicksburg; a son, Henry Brown of Des Allemands, La.; two sisters, Alice Pearson of Crossett, Ark., and Louise B. Walker of Houma, La.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Waverly Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Thornton officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the church. Pallbearers will be Danny Ray Mitchell, Benny Stanley Jr., Charles Henry Brown, Thomas Martin Graham, David Brown and Eric Waterman.
