All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Ethel Spells Brown - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 19, 2000 Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Spells Brown, 78, of Cleveland, Miss. were held Friday, Jan. 14, in the chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Bob Buckner and Rev. Xxxny Arinder officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, Jan. 11, in the River Oaks Hospital in Jackson, Miss., after a lengthy illness. She was born in Tallulah and had lived in Cleveland, Miss., for 37 years. She was a licensed practical nurse and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Cleveland. She was employed by Bolivar County Hospital for 20 years in the obstetrics department. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Brown. Survivors include two daughters: Barbara Stedman, Brandon, Miss., and Nancy Schneider, Italy, Texas; one brother: Ira Spells, Tallulah; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were David Holbrook, Donald Collins, Tracy Collins, Kevin Collins, Greg Collins and Sonny Copes.
