She was 65. Born in Tallulah, Mrs. Brown had lived in Sachse, Texas, for the past 10 years. She was a licensed vocational nurse. She was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Wayne Brown of Tallulah. She is survived by one son, William Merrick Brown of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Janet Sayne Smith of Sachse; a brother, William Merrick Bethea of Mangum, Okla.; nine half siblings; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. John W. Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
