All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Charley Brekeen - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 2, 1972 Charley Brekeen rites are held Funeral services for Charley Brekeen of Tallulah, 61, were held at 2 p. m. Wednesday at Crothers Funeral Home here with the Rev. James Bullock officiating. Mr. Brekeen, a native of Tylertown. Miss., died in his home Monday night after a brief illness. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. He was a resident of Madison Parish for 43 years and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, M. Wilma Brekeen of Tallulah; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Johnson of Tallulah, Mrs. Mary Thornton and Mrs. Martha Whitaker, both of Pelahatchie, Miss.; four brothers, John Brekeen of Philadelphia, Miss.; Quiller Brekeen of Metairie; Willie Brekeen of Tallulah and Bilbo Brekeen of Bastrop; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtis Page, Mrs. Minnie Wilkins, both of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Sarah Snyder of Midland, Ga. and 10 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Noland Taylor, R. B. Reece, John Hutto, Roy Lee Hutto, Jack Taylor and C. B. Thompson.
