Boney, in the 39th year of her age. She was buried on the afternoon of the 5th, in the Silver Cross cemetery, at Tallulah, La., the Rev. Mr. Denson reading the beautiful funeral service of the Methodist Church, of which church she has long been a member. Born in Danville, Va., daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Laura Patrick, she leaves in her childhood home to mourn her loss, a devoted mother, sister and two brothers; and here, in the home of her adoption, many friends to sympathize with her husband, son and young daughter. Coming to this parish in the first flush of young womanhood a bride, she soon won her way to many hearts and was from the time of her marriage up to the very hour of her death, a most loving and beloved daughter to her father-in-law Col. G. L. Boney. Living in the same household she was his daily and hourly companion and most sympathetic councilor and aid. No one will feel her loss more bitterly than he. Suddenly, with no warning, death came to her, giving no minutes for preparation; but so well had she fulfilled her duties as friend, wife and mother that her loved ones can feel the blessed assurance that she has passed from the cares and joys of life to that of that fair realm above where God our Father will give to his children the desire of their hearts.
