All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Sarah Bloom - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal December 17, 1965 Services Held On Monday For Miss Sarah Bloom Funeral services for Miss Sarah Bloom, 78, who died Sunday in a Vicksburg Hospital following a lengthy illness was held in Vicksburg, Miss. Monday at 3 p. m. Services were conducted at Fisher's Funeral Home in Vicksburg with Rabbi Sylvan Wolff officiating. Burial followed in the Jewish Cemetery in the National Park at Vicksburg. Miss Bloom was co-owner with her sister, Miss Ida Bloom, of the oldest dry goods firm in Tallulah, known as Max Levy and Company. It has been in operation for 55 years. She is survived by two brothers, Mertie M. Bloom and Ralph Bloom, both of Tallulah, and three sisters; Mrs. M. Saiewitz, Mrs. Ida Bloom and Mrs. Kern, all of Tallulah. Nephews were pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
