All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Ida Bloom - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, May 17, 1979 Mrs. Ida Bloom died Monday at her residence here, after an illness of several weeks. She was a native of Rochester, N.Y., but she had been a resident of Tallulah most of her life. Miss Bloom was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a member of the Anshe Chesed Congregation of Vicksburg. Survivors include a brother, Ralph Bloom of Tallulah; five nieces, Miss Geraldine Minsky and Miss Genevieve Minsky, both of Tallulah, Mrs. Sylvia Meites of Chicago, Ill, Mrs. Rachael Dunn of Tallulah and Mrs. Herbert Ginsberg of Hattiesburg; two nephews, Dr. Sam B. Saiewitz of New Orleans and Leo Kern of New Orleans and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Services were Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Fisher Funeral Chapel with Rabbi Allan Schwartzman officiating. Burial was in the Jewish Cemetery. Pallbearers were great nephews: Dr. Jerry Rankin, James David Caldwell, Reynold Minsky, Louis Minsky and J. D. Caldwell.
