L. Betz Robert Lee Betz, 88, of Tallulah, died afternoon in the Vicksburg Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with the Rev. xxxx xxxx officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery. A native of Gloster, Miss., Mr. Betz had lived in Madison Parish for the past 40 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Myrtis Betz of Tallulah; two brothers, Julian H. Betz of Demdin, Ga., and Fred Betz of Gloster, Miss.; one sister, Mrs. Maydel Zeigler of Tallulah; two grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Walter Butler, Harris Wise, A. C. Ray, Leander Grace, Don Richardson and R. E. Fowler.
