All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************ Sadie Guthrie Benjamin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 1, 1979 The funeral of Mrs. Sadie Guthrie Benjamin, 78, of Hattiesburg, Miss. was held Tuesday at the Crothers Home Chapel in Tallulah, Rev. Joel C. Treadwell officiating. Burial was in Silver Cross in Tallulah. Mrs. Benjamin died Monday in a Nursing Home in Hattiesburg after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Tensas Parish and had lived in Hattiesburg for 12 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Tallulah. Survivors include one son, Walter Benjamin, of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Shirley Cochran of Willshire, Ohio, Miss Elizabeth Benjamin of Hattiesburg, and Mrs. Cecelia Moore of Jena; one brother, Albert Guthrie of Hattiesburg; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Shields Bray, Bill Colligan, Louis Buckner, Jim McDaniel, Billy Windham, and Bob Gaumnitz.
