Benjamin, Jr. - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post February 2, 1944 FINAL RITES FOR LIEUT. BENJAMIN THURSDAY, 4 P. M. TALLULAH, La Feb. 2-Funeral services for Lieut. Percy O. Benjamin, Jr., who was killed in a plane crash at Warner Robbins, Ga. last Monday will be held here in the Episcopal Church on Thursday at 4 p.m. with Rev. Dean Maurer officiating. Pallbearers will be Alex Blanche, Edwin Blanche, J. P. O'Brian, Clyde Guthrie, William Guthrie, Jesse Anderson and Lieut. Ralph Linton. Interment will be in Silver Cross Cemetery. Lieutenant Benjamin will be buried with military honors, with a firing squad from the prison camp located here, in charge of Captain Perry. The body will arrive here aboard the I. C. train tomorrow morning. It is being accompanied by Lieut. Howard D. Thoeing. Lieutenant Benjamin was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy D. Benjamin. Sr. of this town. He was serving as a test pilot at the Georgia field. Besides his parents deceased is survived by three sisters and a brother. Williams funeral home of Tallulah is in charge of arrangements.
