All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Charles Walter Beene - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal November 27, 1996 Funeral services for Mr. Charles Walter Beene, 77, of Tallulah, were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26th in the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Beene died Sunday, November 24th in the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Miss. after a brief illness. He was born in Hughes, Ark., and was a retired businessman, and member of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah. He was a member of the IBEWNECA Local Union and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his son Lonnie Jack Beene. Survivors include: his wife, Margaret Lawrence Beene of Tallulah; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Bitsy Beene of Tallulah; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joan Beene of Monroe; a daughter-in-law, Katherine Beene of Meridian, Miss.; a sister; Inez Maxwell of West Memphis, Ark.; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jack Folk, Eddie Mac Elledge, Warren Patrick, Billy Post, Ted Ivey, Collins Thomas, J. T. Fulton, Jeff Goza. Visitation was from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
