Beard - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal January 10, 1990 Funeral services for Mr. Troy S. Beard, 81, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Crothers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Duewayne Tullos officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Beard died Tuesday in the Vicksburg Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Mississippi and a resident of Tallulah for the past 56 years. He was a retired employee of the Louisiana State Department of Highways and a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Leslie F. Beard of Tallulah; three sons, Perry Beard and Percy Beard, both of Tyler, Tex. and Gayle "Red" Beard of Tallulah; one daughter, Joyce Roark of Winnfield; one brother, Herbert Beard of Tallulah; three sisters, Nettie Olson of Tallulah, Ellen White and Cordie Mae Smith, both of Houston, Tex.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tracy Weems, Willard Green, Billy Ray Arender, Donald Wayne Arender, Robert Jackson and Charlie Hopkins.
