TALLULAH - Joyce O'Neal Beard died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Madison Parish Hospital in 
Tallulah. She was 72.

Born in Franklin Parish, Mrs. Beard had lived most of her life in Tallulah and was a housewife.

She is survived by two sons, Danny Beard and Michael Beard, both of Tallulah; a daughter, 
Judy A. Beard of Tallulah; two brothers, Jack Taylor and E.R. "Bud" Taylor, both of Tallulah; 
a sister, Bernice McCarty of Tallulah; three grandchildren and other relatives including 
Angie Beard of Tallulah.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah with the Rev. 
Charles Gaston officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah.

Pallbearers were Bo Street, Harold Bolton, Artie Skeldon, Mac McCarty, Donnie Remore and 
Jimmy Johnson.
