Beard - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, January 8, 1981 Services for Clifton H. Beard, 75, were Friday in the Crothers Funera1 Home Chapel with the Rev. Lester Johnson officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery of Tallulah. Mr. Beard died Tuesday in the Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah after a long illness. He was a native of Wesson, Miss., a resident of Tallulah for the 56 years and a retired xxxent operator. He worked for the Madison Parish Police Jury for many years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Joyce T. Beard of Tallulah; two sons Micheal Beard of Oak Grove and Danny Beard of Tallulah; two daughters, Julie Beard of Tallulah and Mrs. D. W. Dukes of Minden; two brothers, Troy Beard and Herbert Beard, both of Tallulah; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Olson of Tallulah, Mrs. Ellen White and Mrs. Cordie Mae Smith, both of Houston; two granddaughters and two great granddaughters. Pallbearers were Artie Skeldon, R.E. York, Val Sergeant, Bob Tate, Jimmy Hutto and Billy Bowlin.
