Beaird - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal March 27, 1996 Funeral services for Mrs. Laverne B. Beaird, age 68, were held Monday, March 25, 1996, at 4 p.m., in the Chapel of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with Rev. C. C. "Shorty" Gaston and Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah. Mrs. Beaird died Saturday, March 23, 1996, in the Delhi Hospital. Mrs. Beaird had lived in Tallulah for 65 years. She was a member of Willow Bayou Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter Gloria Gatlin of Tallulah; two sisters, Lessie Hodge of Tallulah and Iwilla Henry of Berwick, La.; two brothers, Bill Bedgood and Evert Bedgood, both of Tallulah; three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ron Bedgood Jr., Mike Travis, William Earl Travis, Buddy Saunier, Howard Carney III, Michael Bedgood, Billy Ray Hodge and Charles Finlayson. The family requests any donations to go to the Willow Bayou Baptist Church.
