(Bob) Beaird - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal August 2, 1973 Farm accident claims life of resident A 23-year-old Tallulah man was killed near here Friday when the farm tractor he was operating overturned on him, according to the Madison Parish Sheriff's Department. A sheriff's deputy said Boyer E. (Bob) Beaird was killed when a tractor and mower he was driving overturned in a ditch on his property. Beaird's body was apparently found about 4:30 p.m. Friday by members of his family who began searching for him when he did not return home at noon. The incident was also investigated by Madison Parish Deputy Coroner Dr. Thomas A. Neumann, who ruled Beaird's death was a result of the accident. The dead man was a resident of the Willow Bayou Community, a native of Morgan City and had resided in Madison Parish most of his life. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church in Tallulah. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Revs. Billy Ray Smith, Dewey Myles and Leroy Joiner officiating. Burial was in the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah. Survivors include his wife Mrs. Brenda Beaird of Tallulah; one daughter, Miss Catherine Beaird of Tallulah; his mother, Mrs. Laverne Beaird of Tallulah; and one sister Miss Gloria Beaird of Jackson, Miss. Pallbearers were Ralph Fore, (others.)
