Barrett - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal, March 29, 1957 Last Rites Held For Father. Of Local Residents Last rites for Will C. Barrett, 78, who died Tuesday at his residence at Tendal after a long illness, were held Wednesday at 3 p. m. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Delhi with Rev. Marlen Howard officiating, assisted by the Rev. Hatten. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Delhi. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virgie Ella Barrett; one daughter, Mrs. H. T. Oaks of Tallulah; five sons, Harry Barrett and Lucian Barrett, both of Tallulah, Glendon Barrett of Shreveport, Vanellis Barrett of Port Allen, and John Will Barrett of Delhi; one sister, Mrs. Ray Weinder of Sand Springs, Okla.; one brother, Luther Barrett of Shreveport; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Phil Grimes, Renford Williams, Jesse Laird, Cy Wixon, Jr., Maurice McKinney, Roy Snider, Prentis Wilks and Bob Region.
