All rights reserved. *********************************************************************************************** Harriet “Lovie” Barrett - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Post March 19, 2013 TALLULAH — Harriet “Lovie” Barrett died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. She was 93. Mrs. Barrett was born in Colfax, La., and had lived in Tallulah for 65 years. She and her husband had owned and operated Barrett’s Restaurant in Tallulah for a number of years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tallulah and the Tallulah Home & Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Barrett. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Barrett Kirk of Clinton; one son, J. Harry Barrett Jr. of Jackson; two brothers, Marvin Walker of Houston, Texas, and Harry Walker of Columbus, Ga.; and seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Tallulah with the Rev. John Wesley Rushing officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church from noon Wednesday until the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Challenge Fund.
