Margaret L. Barksdale, "Granny", 73, died at home in Vallejo, California. Margaret was born in Tallulah, Louisiana. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Margaret is preceded by her husband Charles Barksdale and daughter Sharon Brown.

 

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Veronica (Martin) Barksdale and Regina (Sidney) Barksdale-Vance of Vallejo; sons, Charles (Ronya) Barksdale Jr. of Georgia, Michael Quarterman, Otis Brown, and Orlando Brown of Vallejo; sisters, Edna (Frank) Clark and Barbara (George) Brown of Vallejo, Pat Thompson of Fairfield; brothers, Leonard

 

Thompson and Johnny Thompson of Vallejo; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 28th from noon to 6 p.m. at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St., Vallejo, CA.

 

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 29th, 11 a.m. at Tabernacle of David Baptist Church, 1100 Lincoln Road East, Vallejo, CA. Burial to follow at Sunrise Memorial Cemetery, 2201 Sacramento St., Vallejo, CA.
