She was 79 and a lifelong resident of Tallulah, LA. Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2016 at McFarland Funeral Home in Delhi, LA from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 158 Cross Rd., Delhi, LA 71232. Burial will follow at Morning Rest Memorial Park in Tallulah. She leaves to cherish her memory, Gloria (Albert) Boykins (Baton Rouge, LA) Roxanna (Arthur) Jefferson, (Baton Rouge, LA) , Anthony Barber, Sr. (Irwinville, LA), Richmond Barber, Jr., Gerald Barber, Sr. (Dallas, TX), Sandra (Jonathan) Lawrence (Tulsa, OK), Clifton (Audrey) Barber ( Dallas, TX), Leslie (Patrick) Thornton (Marietta, GA), Stephanie (Oscar) Holness, (Tulsa, OK) and a host of other relatives and friends in the Baton Rouge area and beyond. The family wishes to thank Lady of the Lake Hospital, Promise Rehabilitation Hospital in Vicksburg, Merit Hospital in Jackson, Miss. and all the doctors and nurses for their assistance in the care of their mother.
