L. A. BANKSTON Funeral services for Mrs. L. A. Bankston, who died at the Vicksburg Hospital Friday afternoon, were conducted from the First Methodist Church here Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. C. Karlos Smith officiating, assisted by the Rev. Clarence Crow, pastor of the Baptist Church. Interment was made in Silver Cross Cemetery. Mrs. Bankston, who resided in Tallulah for 14 years, was a member of the Methodist Church and the Tallulah Book Club. She is survived by her husband, a druggist; one son, Tillmon Bankston; a sister, Mrs. John Jenkins, Durant, Miss.; and two brothers, Charles Tillman, Tallulah, and Tom Rivers Tillman, Minnesota. Pallbearers were A. J. Boswell, Bill Fairly, W. B. Eisley, Jesse Anderson, Wray Bowie, and A. J Sevier. The passing of Mrs. Bankston will be mourned by her many friends here.
