Helen Clara Ball - Madison Parish, Louisiana

Helen Ball, 92, resident of West Monroe, La., and former resident of Tallulah, La., went to Heaven on April 18, 2017. She retired from the Madison Parish School Board after working for twenty years as a cook in the Tallulah High School cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Joe C. Ball. She has six daughters. They are the following: Rita Kirkland of Euless, Tx., Elizabeth Smith of West Monroe, La., Sara Wilson and husband Lane of Tallulah, La., Mary Jo Tarver of West Monroe, La., Cora Estep and husband Dennis of Dallas, Tx., and Ronda Dupree and husband John of Delhi, La. Her eight grandchildren are Nanci Jackson, Traci Kirkland, Susan Roe, Jeff Wilson, Sophia Wattigny, Terrence Tarver, Vanessa Lauck, and Ashley Ratcliff. She also has eight great-grandchildren. They are William, Anna, and Wesley Jackson, Dylan and Anna Claire Wilson, Christophe' and Joshua Wattigny, and Will Lauck.

Helen was a wonderful mother and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed having family come over for Sunday lunch, particularly she enjoyed holiday gatherings. She was thoughtful and considerate of her family and made certain they attended church. She instilled in them a strong work ethic. She will be missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation at 10:00 A.M. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Ms. Interment will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, La. Pallbearers will be Jeff Wilson, Terrence Tarver, Ben Lauck, Dylan Wilson, Christophe' Wattigny, and Joshua Wattigny.

The family would like to thank Reverend Ricky Baker of Louisiana Hospice for his loving support and encouragement for Helen and her family.
