All rights reserved. ************************************************************************************************** Erma Mills Bailey - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Tallulah Madison Journal June 21, 2000 Funeral services for Mrs. Erma Mills Bailey, age 85, of Tallulah, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2000, in the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah, with Rev. Fred Fulton officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah. Mrs. Bailey died Monday, June 12, 2010, in the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a lengthy illness. She was born in Hillsboro, Iowa, and had lived in Madison Parish for 60 years. She was a retired office administrator for the Federal Farmers Home Administration. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tallulah, a delegate to the Methodist Conference representing the church beginning in 1982, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was an active participant in the Northeast Louisiana Prisoner of War Movement. Mrs. Bailey was active in various book and garden clubs in Tallulah. Survivors include: a son. Dr. Myron B. Bailey, Jr. of W. Monroe, La.; two brothers: Darrell L. Mills of Baton Rouge, La., and Richard A. Mills of Sacramento, Cal.; four grandchildren: Robin Hamaker of Abita Springs, La., Patricia Miller, Cynthia Ryan, and Myron Bailey, all of Monroe; nine great-grandchildren, Pallbearers will be Donald Hoogland, Jimmy Hoogland, Frcdcrick Hoogland, Myron Bailey III, Jay Bailey, and Johnny Mills. In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Tallulah.
