LELIA BATES AVRIETT Funeral services for Mrs. Lelia Bates Avriett, 79, of Tallulah, were held 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Avriett was a native of St. Helena and had lived in Tallulah for the past 26 years. Before her retirement, she was a social worker with the Louisiana State Welfare Department. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Opal Cagnolatti of Tallulah, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were J. Louis Tonore, H. S. Weaver, Collins Thomas, J. C. Stocks, R. W. Gandy, Jr. and E. B. Towne, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. H. S Provine, Dr. Lucian Ferris and the deacons of the First Baptist Church.
