Graveside services
for Michael Archie Averett, 73, of Monroe, Louisiana
formerly of the Madison Parish community of Quebec will be held at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, Louisiana on Friday,
November 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi,
Louisiana.
Michael was born in Tallulah, Louisiana on December 24, 1945 and passed from
this life on November 5, 2019 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans home in
Monroe, Louisiana. He was a life long resident of
Madison Parish, was a mechanic and farmer and had a
love for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Michael was an Air Force Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie Earnest Averett
and Mary
Anna Holloway Averett.
Surviving him are his children, Angela Appleton and husband Ron of Grand Bluff,
Texas and Mark Averett and wife Tracey of Tallulah,
Louisiana; grandchildren Dillon Ellard of West
Monroe, Louisiana, Cody Averett and wife Mallory of
Tallulah, Louisiana and Sarah Thomas of Pensacola, Florida and great
grandchildren Braxton and Trenton Averett and Dylan
Reed.
He is also survived by four siblings, Wilma Whittaker and husband Wesley and
Glynn Averett and wife Barbara all of Tallulah,
Louisiana, Pat Crews of Lake Providence, Louisiana and Billy Averett and wife Marcie of Roderwies,
Arkansas along with numerous nieces and nephews.
